I just bought a 09 Raider yesterday told them to keep it and put a set of Cobra pipes on it. They are the long ones that sweep back and up then curve down. Anyone have these and how do they sound. I wanted something with a pretty loud bark, but not obnoxious. I pick it up Thursday and can't wait. Thanks for your help.

I have the Cobra pipes. IMHO they are very right!! As you describe your preference, mellow note, noticably louder than stock but not obnoxious. And they look great, too. I think you will like the result.

All good things have at leat one downside. The Cobra swepts "appear" to be a little wider than the stock pipes and they do get hot. My short legs need to be sure to take a slightly wider stance at full stop to avoid the alternative discomfort. You may not notice the difference.

Please note: I will gladly put up with the minor inconvenience for the look and the sound.

Kool John, My pipes came in yesterday they are installing today and I pick it up tonight. Todays high ia 46 degrees so probabaly just a quick ride home but I'll be lovin it.

Got it, rode it, love it. The sound, just an amazing bike. Come on spring.
