Hey guys, I sold my M109R back in March and have felt I clipped my own wings ever since. I'm getting another bike but just don't know which one I want. I really like the Raider for the looks, belt drive and maybe fun factor but I haven't ridden one yet. My other choices are a HD Street Glide or another M109. I know I loved my 109, it had TORQUE and was ALOT of fun to ride. Can you guys help me out and tell me if the Raider is as quick and fun to ride as the 109? Thanks..Will.

No many people visit the site, probably moreso during the holidays. I rode my bro's Raider and enjoyed the heck out of it but I too was looking at the 109. Tough choice for sure. Wish i had some 109 seat time to compare with. Was there any resolution with transmission or clutch issues on the 109? I read somewhere that the trans was having some kind of problem holding up to the torque. Haven't looked for a long time. Hope someone can answer your question soon. Good luck, NRX

I sold my 109 with 18k miles on it and never had a problem with the clutch or trans probems. It was a little ruff going into second sometimes but either I quit paying attention to it or it got easier lol. Only thing I didn't like about the 109 was alot of plastic on it.

A test ride will convince you that the Raider is a superior handling bike, it's more comfy and fun to ride, get's more compliments and attention, feels so light and neutral at any speed and will move you inside. Test ride, get one then meet the rest of us at the Raider Rally in August!

I have an M109R but I am very interested in getting a Raider, so I will probably test ride one to see if I can have the 2 bikes.

There's a dealer on another forum and he made the comment you need a 10 yr extended warranty for the M109. BTW he rides a Raider. IMHO what better refferance than some one who can sells and services them?
